Sometimes Your Lawn Just Needs A Little Help

Sometimes a lawn will get neglected or due to poorly implemented lawn care programs, or poor soil conditions, they get into a state of disrepair.  Brown, dead, and dying, patchy grass doesn't look very good and detracts from your curb appeal in a big way.  Renovating your lawn could be the answer but there are several ways to go about it, and every lawn we encounter is in it's own unique situation.

Why Does Your Lawn Need To Be Renovated or Repaired?

  • Is your lawn patchy and brown in some areas?
  • Do you have poor quality soil and the grass isn't growing?
  • Is your lawn so full of weeds you want to start over?
  • Does your home stand out for all the wrong reasons?

Prosperity Lawn & Landscape is a local landscaping company based out of Centreville and serving Fairfax County, in Northern Virginia.  We specialize in renovating, repairing, or even replacing lawns on both residential and commercial properties of all sizes.  Whether you'd like to remove and replace your lawn, renovate certain areas of your lawn, or repair a problem area you just can't seem to bring back to life, we're happy to help.

Renovate Or Replace?

Depending on your soil conditions and the condition of your lawn it's not always possible to simply renovate the lawn.  There are some cases where the lawn area is so far gone it's often easier, faster, and less hassle to simply start over.  If your lawn is mostly dead grass or it's so overrun with weeds you can barely see any grass then replacement is the best route.  We can remove the old grass using a machine called a "sod cutter" and then we can replace the top soil (or loam soil as is used for new lawns), coordinate the installation of an irrigation or lawn sprinkler system if you don't have one, and then we can either use or sod or seed to replace the lawn.

Renovating the lawn could be as simple as getting your lawn into a regular weed and feed lawn care program, re-edging around the garden beds, trees, driveway, and other surfaces that meet your lawn, reseeding areas that are brown or patchy, and then caring for the lawn on a regular basis.
